Johnny Vatos talks about his early days as a professional musician, going to Vietnam as part of the USO tour and goes on to discuss the current state of the music industry and Oingo Boingo Dance Party’s role in it. He talks about the early challenges of getting the band off the ground due to legal issues with Danny Elfman, who ultimately gave his blessing for the band to go on without his involvement, focusing primarily on his successful film scoring career. Johnny talks about the enormous amount of business related work required of him as the current leader of the band and about his projects as a producer and his work with movies.
