Billy Sheehan was the bassist of choice for David Lee Roth when Roth left Van Halen in 1985. He joined David and Steve Vai for the platinum Eat ‘Em and Smile album and tour. In 1987, Billy went on to form his own band, Mr. Big, achieving a #1 Billboard Hit as well as the bands “Niacin” with Steve Vai and Dennis Chambers, and more recently “The Winery Dogs” with Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater.
